Holocaust Remembrance Day elicits strong remarks on foreign policy from First

"Holocaust Remembrance Day is dedicated to the victims of Nazi Germany and its European allies. By remembering today, we hope it never happens again in the future.

However, as the modern equivalent of a militaristic Nazi state, the Islamic Republic of Iran, now communicates its own genocidal policies and intentions while arming for nuclear war, the failure of the Obama administration's own related policies are brought into focus. Without the moral conviction to stand up for what is right, Holocaust Remembrance Day becomes hollow. Obama's administration isn't standing up.

Iran is a threat to Western civilization. Its leaders are uncompromising fanatics immune to reason. Its nuclear program cannot be contained; it must be destroyed through force, now, before it is too late.

The Obama administration's inexplicable unwillingness to use (or allow others) force against Iran is a reminder that those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. This administration relies on pacifistic and utopian dreams instead of concrete action. Coddling our enemies and simultaneously alienating American allies is now a hallmark of the Obama administration. Our nation is poorly served.

Holocaust Remembrance Day will only be meaningful if it gives us the necessary certainty and impetus to act on our needs and values, in order to avoid the catastrophes of the past.

Ironically, the Obama administration is also now presiding over an international conference in Washington, DC, about keeping nuclear material out of the hands of terrorists. Memo to Obama: Stop the problem in its tracks, now. Bomb Iran, now.
